The Province of South East Asia

The Diocese of Kuching is part of the Province of South East Asia which comprise of the following three other dioceses in the South East Asian region :

- Diocese of Sabah

- Diocese of Singapore

- Diocese of West Malaysia

Currently presided by the Most Revd. Datuk Yong Ping Chung, the province’s purpose is to glorify God by our obedience to the Great Commission of our Lord Jesus Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit. We have a special responsibility to work together to mobilize resources to plant and grow multi-lingual churches in every country of our Province. We are convinced that our mission can be completed as we unite in love and sacrifice.

Its Vision Statement is that

We believe that God wants the Province to become a unified network of autonomous churches characterised by :

1. Congregational worship that is whole-hearted and meaningful celebration

2. Exercise of the gifts of the Holy Spirit

3. Biblical preaching and teaching that is lively, faith building and relevant

4. Prayerful dependence on God

5. Discipleship for all members through cell groups and community

6. Members equipped for effective ministry in the world

7. Missionary entrepreneurship through church-planting, cross-cultural outreach or partnership with other churches
